Referring to #16: After The Who with Pete Townsend dominated charts, the Canadian
label Quality Records decided to release their single on a plain white label they printed
the words ‘’Guess Who?’’ As a successful marketing stunt, Randy Bachman’s band
eventually took the name to be the Guess Who. After much controversy both bands
began embrassing the confusion and began swapping songs and performing each
others material like ‘My Generation’ and ‘Shaking all Over’ on stage just to poke fun and
further the confusion and attract attention.
Referring to # 21: the coding by color was devised to quickly differentiate Country
Western, Rock & Roll and other genres of music for DJ’s and for the consumer. Black
