About
Artist: Lisa Box
I didn’t always think of myself as an artist but it turns out I am.
I rode my horse allot in my teens, taught aerobics and managed exercise studios in my 20’s, was in the Financial Industry in my 30’s, founded a patent in my 40’s, made decorative guitars out of old wood with a plethora of themes & worked with bamboo making wall pieces in my 50’s and now in my 60’s I’m designing puzzles.
Growing up, my family would often have a puzzle out on a card table by the fireplace that we would randomly work on and I have enjoyed puzzling through out my life.
I have 2 children; a son, 32 in Houston and a daughter turning 30 this July 2025 who lives in Colorado. I am sharing a favorite photo of them below. I am happily living with my Westie on Lake Austin in a creative nook over looking the water. I have enjoyed working puzzles when I travel and with my daughter and her friends.
Puzzling is good for exercising both sides of our brain. The right side of our brains is the home of our creative mind, while the left side is the home for our analytical mind. When they work together, our brain cells make connections, which improve our ability to learn, retain information and remember things. I need all of those!
